Time for a pattern of my own.
I made this beret last fall.
It`s a one size fits most
(I`m not sure it fits all :-) )
Its my first translation of a pattern,
if you find mistakes or don`t understand something
please let me know
Crochet pattern of the beret
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
dc = double crochet (UK), single crochet (US)
tr = treble crochet (UK), double crochet (US)
Crochet pattern of the beret
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
dc = double crochet (UK), single crochet (US)
tr = treble crochet (UK), double crochet (US)
Crochet hook 6 mm (EU), J-10 (US), 4 (UK)
3 ch, close with a sl st
Row 1, 3 ch ( counts as 1 tr), 2 tr into the ring, 2 ch, *3 tr into the ring, 2 ch *, repeat between ** 3 more times, close with a sl st.
Row 2, you will be working out of the row 1 spaces, 3 ch ( counts as 1 tr), 2 tr, 2 ch, 3 tr into the same space, 2 ch, in every space 3 tr followed by 2 ch 2 times end the row with a sl st.
Row 3, again you will be working out of the spaces this will continue until row 13, 3 ch ( counts as 1 tr), 2 tr, 2 ch, in every space 3 tr followed by 2 ch (this time only once the 3 tr followed by 2 ch) end the row with a sl st.
Row 4 same as row 2
Row 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 same as row 3
Row 1, 3 ch ( counts as 1 tr), 2 tr into the ring, 2 ch, *3 tr into the ring, 2 ch *, repeat between ** 3 more times, close with a sl st.
Row 2, you will be working out of the row 1 spaces, 3 ch ( counts as 1 tr), 2 tr, 2 ch, 3 tr into the same space, 2 ch, in every space 3 tr followed by 2 ch 2 times end the row with a sl st.
Row 3, again you will be working out of the spaces this will continue until row 13, 3 ch ( counts as 1 tr), 2 tr, 2 ch, in every space 3 tr followed by 2 ch (this time only once the 3 tr followed by 2 ch) end the row with a sl st.
Row 4 same as row 2
Row 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 same as row 3
Row 10 and 11 instead of 2 ch between tr 1 ch.
Row 12 and 13 instead of 1 ch between tr no ch at all
Row 14 on every stitch a dc, close with a sl st
Row 15 and 16 same as row 14.

Hieronder de werkbeschrijving van de
baret:
met haaknaald nr. 6
Haak 3 lossen, sluit met een halve vaste.
1e toer, 3 lossen, haak in de ring (de stokjes) 2 stokjes, 2 lossen, *3 stokjes, 2 lossen, herhaal nog 3 keer vanaf * sluit met een halve vaste.
2e toer, 3 lossen, in het gaatje van 2 lossen 2 stokjes daarna 2 lossen en in hetzelfde gaatje nog 3 stokjes met daarna 2 lossen, bij iedere gaatje 3 stokjes daarna 2 lossen en in het zelfde gaatje nog 3 stokjes daarna 2 lossen, ga helemaal rond eindig met een halve vaste.
3e toer, 3 lossen, in het gaatje van 2 lossen 2 stokjes daarna 2 lossen, in ieder
gaatje 3 stokjes gevolgd door 2 lossen, ga helemaal rond aan het einde sluiten met een halve vaste.
4e toer, zie 2e toer.
5e, 6e, 7e, 8e en 9e toer, zie 3e toer.
10e en 11e toer ipv. 2 lossen 1 losse tussen de stokjes.
12e en 13e toer ipv. 1 losse geen enkel losse tussen de stokjes.
14e toer, vasten op de steken,
15e en 16e toer, zie 14e toer.
Afhechten en draadjes afwerken.

DeleteYou do not say anything about starting the new row. You just say 'you will be working out of the spaces' I made a couple of these but they are much bigger than your beret is making them more slouchy. I also had a 'line' where I joined the rows. Then I started slip stitching to the first stitch until I got to the 'space' then it seemed to work out better with no 'join'
